WE ARE SORRY TO ANNOUNCE THAT GOING PRO NOW HAS BEEN POSTPONED UNTIL THE SPRING. MORE INFORMATION WILL BE AVAILABLE HERE WHEN THE SEMINARS ARE BEING SET. THANKS FOR YOUR SUPPORT, AND SORRY FOR ANY INCONVENIENCE THIS MAY HAVE CAUSED YOU.
A New Kind of Seminar for a New Set of Rules
Look around. Things have changed... are changing. New methods, new techniques, new channels, new opportunities and new challenges abound. And some things are lost... mentors, time, bank start-up loans, a gazillion potential clients, and being financially successful on a local level.
Some things are changing right in front of our eyes. Social media gives us more access, but with less clients, that access becomes more challenging. Photoshop gives us the power of a darkroom on steroids, and robs us of time that was spent shooting. Photographers who were "generalists" are finding a need to specialize, while specialists are looking for additional channels for their work.
It can all be so crazy.
We know. We live it every day.
And we are bringing some solutions to a region near you at a price that keeps it affordable for emerging photographers looking for some real answers. We are focused on commercial photographers, not wedding or direct to consumer shooters. There are plenty of workshops for that group, and the realities are different. Some info will track over, but our focus is on editorial, corporate and advertising photographers.
Selina Maitreya, Jack Hollingsworth and Don Giannatti will be presenting a full day seminar, "Going Pro NOW" that will introduce information to help you make sense of the changes in the professional commercial photography business. And whether you are thinking about going PRO full time, or part time, this is the information you need.
Information, Preparation, Inspiration... three tools of power for the commercial photographers of today. With the right information, and careful preparation, inspiration will follow... and flow. Maintaining the constant positive attitude of a winner can make a lot of difference. (Oh, there's a bit of perspiration involved as well.)
FRIDAY NIGHT ROUND TABLE
In addition to the full day seminar, there will be a free meet-up for a round table discussion, Q & A and a general overview of the industry today. This will be on the Friday night before the seminar. It will feature Selina, Jack and Don. This will be a lively couple of hours, be prepared!
